Intrusion PreventionMS.COM.Validation.Remote.Code.Execution
Description
This indicates an attack attempt against a remote code execution vulnerability in
Windows Shell and WordPad.
The vulnerability is caused because Windows Shell and WordPad inadequately validate COM objects when instantiated. It allows an attacker to execute
arbitrary code via enticing a user open a specially crafted WordPad file.
