Samsung.NET.i.Viewer.ActiveX.Control.Stack.Buffer.Overflow

Description

This indicates an attack attempt to exploit a Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Samsung NET-i Viewer.
The vulnerability is due to misuse of a vulnerable ActiveX control method "BackupToAvi" in the application. A remote attacker may be able to exploit this to execute arbitrary code within the context of the application.

Affected Products

Samsung NET-i Viewer 1.37.120316 and earlier versions

Impact

System Compromise: Remote attackers can gain control of vulnerable systems.
