Analysis
- Systems on which an infected file has been executed may notice a process named 'videons32.exe'.
- Drops itself to the undefinedWindowsundefined\System32 subfolder as a 206,311-byte file named 'videons32.exe'
- Adds the key 'Windows Video Drivers' and assigns the value 'videons32.exe' to the following Windows registry keys::
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVerision\Run
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVerision\RunServices
- Places a file named 'hosts' in undefinedWINDOWSundefined\System32\drivers\etc adding the following entries:
