Fortinet Discovers Python Null Pointer Dereference Vulnerability

Summary

Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs has discovered a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability in Python 2.7.

Successful exploit of the vulnerability will cause memory corruption and lead to DoS. Under some conditions, remote code execution is also possible.
