Fortinet Discovers VMware vCenter Server Remote DoS Vulnerability
Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs has discovered a Denial of Service vulnerability in VMware VCenter Server.
VMware VCenter Server is a data center management server application developed by VMware Inc. to monitor virtualized environments. VCenter Server provides centralized management and operation, resource provisioning and performance evaluation of virtual machines residing on a distributed virtual data center. VCenter Server is designed primarily for VSphere, VMware's platform for building virtualized cloud infrastructures.
A Denial of Service vulnerability has been discovered in VMware VCenter Server. It exists because vCenter Server doesn't correctly handle specially crafted LDAP network packets which may allow for remote DoS.
