Fortinet Discovers Adobe Illustrator Arbitrary Code Execution Vulnerability

Summary

Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs has discovered an arbitrary address write vulnerability in Adobe Illustrator.


Adobe Illustrator is a vector graphics editor developed and published by Adobe Systems for macOS and Windows.


An arbitrary address write vulnerability has been discovered in Illustrator by FortiGuard Labs. The vulnerability is caused by a flaw in parsing a crafted "CDR" file which causes an out-of-bounds memory write. It could allow malicious users to create arbitrary code execution scenarios.
