An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when the Microsoft Windows Graphics Componentimproperly handles objects in memory. An attacker who successfully exploits this vulnerability could run arbitrary code in kernel mode. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. The update addresses the vulnerability by correcting the way in which theWindows Graphics Component handles objects in memory, preventing unintended elevation from user mode.
