EMC.Data.Protection.Advisor.DoS

Description

This indicates an attack attempt to exploit a Denial of Service vulnerability in EMC Data Protection Advisor.
The vulnerability is due to insufficient sanitizing of user supplied inputs in the application when handling a maliciously crafted request. As a result, a remote attack may be able to exploit this to cause a denial of service condition on the affected system.

EMC Data Protection Advisor 5.8.1 and earlier versions

Impact

Denial of Service: Remote attackers can crash vulnerable systems.

Currently we are not aware of any vendor supplied patch for this issue.
